Having Fun with Deepta and Aadi

 Aadi begins to make sense

Yes, I have found color. Aadi begins to talk quite a bit, today he informed us that he had Poopah! He does not have a hugh vocabulary but he is doing really well with what he has. He manages to piece a couple of words together, some gibberish interpersed with a couple of words that make sense.

The other development in his life is a visit to the immunologist. I feel that Dr. Fuschilo may just be a long term fixture in his life. Unfortunately, Anshul is not terribly convinced that this is the way to go. Eczema however does seem to be realated to allergies, except that this kid tested positive to so many different allergens. The next main course of action is to begin the process of elimination one by one. I have also found a great resource call the National Eczema Association, the only disheartening thing about this is that this website seems to imply the the condition may or may not go away.

Deepta learns to extrapolate - PIGS come home

One of Deepta's most interesting qualities is her ability to extrapolate things. She is very good at connecting cause and effect and is also very good at applying solutions to problems. She does not realize though that everything cannot be applied to all situations.

She informed me that she could not eat chicken because she was alergic to large pieces which she obviously does not like chewing. Then at school she got a pig card at circle time and was supposed to say something about this, so she informed us that sometimes pigs visit us at home when we leave the door open.

The People on the bus go up and down

Aadi is really doing pretty good with the talking. His first set of joint words were "up and down". He can sing quite a bit of Old Macdonald. Last week when he realized Didi was still sleeping, he went outside her door and began singing, "eeh aah eeh aah ooh" and Moo Moo.

He now calls both nemo and mango mamo. He also has words for Banana and yes, he is finally begining to like books. Eeh aah eeh aah oh"

 Deepta - My best friend

Deepta now says she is "so grown up" she is not my daughter anymore, rather she is my best friend in the whole world. Ironically, that is exactly what most mothers hope for when their daughters turn 21

She is on a roll, she also informed me that she has a friend in her tummy who is going to be out soon and will be joining us for a playdate. I just cannot make this up.

She has taken one of aadi's diapers for her child Moja, here we can see her pictured with Moja in his diaper.

Politeness, eavedropping and learning to talk!

Deepta can be very polite when the mood suits her. She thanks me for things and reminds me to "use the magic word"?! She can follow indirect conversations, inuendos and fairly complex concepts. We have a mini sensor at home.

The perputual motion machine just keeps on moving. Yes, his vocabulary is increasing, this week we say Thish, cheez, tichu. He get very concerned if I do not have the piggy pupet on my hand.

I am begining to get back to LVWA things after my summer hiatus. (ALL of 5 weeks)
