Gosh! it has been a while, we have been recuperating from our hundreds of colds, the children us and then the children again. Thus far, Deepta is doing pretty well with Indian music it is hard to develop a schedule and stick to it. But, we usually get to it at least once a week. I have not been able to read to her too much. This knee problem has really whacked me out.

Aadi, is now running forwards and backwards. He is not doing too well with the talking or listening ... as Deepta informs me - he is not a good listener! He says a lot of half words, Ca Ca for Sophie, Tak for Take, ch ch for Cheese and yes, among other things he has figured out how the weighing scale works.

Maybe is a boy thing- they are slow.

Today Deepta helped us pack for the trip. We are going to see Mama Chacha. Mama will be leaving for Seattle. That is far away. Gitu is sitting on my lap and drinking milk.

Ok so the whole house has been coughing sneezing and moving right along.

Deepta is learning to feed herself under duress. She is also learning to entertain herself while doing potty and hishee. She did something quite interesting during the last music program that I had 4/8. In the middle of the program she decided to climb on the stage and take turns in sitting on people's lap.

Aadi has learnt how to walk in time for his first birthday. He has also learnt how to say la. So he walks around the room saying La la

Gosh, this has been about three weeks of activity. I almost feel like I have been away forever.

Milestones - Feb 28th Aadi bought his first pair of shoes. Aadi also has started walking ( taking several steps) this week. He tooK five steps in daycare. Unfortunately, when he sees me he has no patience so I end up seeing him tumble and do a fast crawl.

Deepta turned three. She had her party on Sunday the fifth. We had sparkles the clown keeping us company. Well, things have been fairly uneventful otherwise.

Deepta actually tried to write out the cards to her teacher this year! What a fuss that was, she can read the letters but cannot write but feels the need to try. She also gave me a card. Aadi made a card with little footprints (ok he used some help!).

Last evening we actually went out to a fairly good restaurant. This was the Flying Pig in Mount Kisco, initially I did not think we would last the evening with the two children, but Aadi slept through the evening and Deepta despite her comments on everyones, hair was pretty civilized.
